Oliver Alan Macam De Leon

Artistry runs in the blood. Alan is the youngest son of a respected film actor from the golden age of Philippine cinema, his mother is a professional commercial model for print and TV. Although not involved in film or acting, he has excelled in the field of visual arts and advertising.

From a very young age, Alan has shown promising talent in drawing – like most small boys of his era, robots, monsters and spaceships was his world. At first, he would give away his drawings for free, but when he was 8 years old, one of his classmate offered him money to draw, he got “lit” with the idea of earning money while doing what he loves. From then on, his romance in creating art and selling it began.

Through the years his love affair with drawing evolved into painting. No surprise, he took Fine Arts and majored in Advertising in Asia’s oldest university, the University of Santo Thomas. After university, he successfully exhibited and sold his art in Malate, Manila, but later on realized selling his art was not a steady source of income. He shifted his career to the crazy world of advertising… and just like that, he was “lit” again like the 8 year old that he was and got hooked!

Alan now runs and owns a world class advertising design firm catering North America, United Kingdom and South Asia.

Abigail de Guzman Fulgueras

Abby, the eldest daughter of industrious government employees. Her parents’ humble beginnings and their perseverance became her inspiration in life. Seeing them work hard and stretch their modest combined income to put her and her 2 siblings to top universities and paying for their simple dream home at the same time was an extraordinary feat for her.

At a very young age she learned the discipline of hard work and the importance of family. Her parents’ roots from peasant families in the province, their love for family, friends and people in general became her foundation to serve the masses. She grew up spending her summers and holidays playing with cousins on the farm, walking along the paddies, climbing trees, picking fruits and eating boodle fights on banana leaves. Her time in the University of the Philippines was instrumental in her eye opening experience on how life was like for the common man struggling to earn a decent living. Slowly she became involved in various progressive organizations to fight for the cause of the oppressed and helpless masses. She vowed to make a difference and rallied in the streets of Manila.

After completing her college degree, she taught in the University before going full time reaching out and helping the oppressed. Her activist career continuously evolved until she landed a staff career in the Philippine Congress. Just like her government employee parents, Abby became a proud public servant, but with an activist heart.

Love really had a hard time finding these two. Alan the proverbial artist was living and loving the bachelor life, never envisioning himself tying the knot. Abby an activist hanging tough raising a child, almost gave up on love after a failed relationship. So what cosmic alignment happened for these two that they decided to stick it out and get married?

SIDE STORY: Loving 2 Women Coming Soon

We love
because
He first
loved us.

– 1 John 4:19

Because they found faith in Christ!

Finding Christ through love became Alan and Abby’s foundation to get married. Loving each other was no longer enough, the Lord’s overflowing love impressed upon them that in order for their relationship to be blessed, they must honor God through marriage.

Celebrate with us as we forge our faith, give glory and commit ourselves to God in marriage.

Why Tagaytay? Simply because Alan and Abby fell in love with the place.

Tagaytay is now promoted as the wedding capital of the Philippines, but more than this, it has been the to-go-to sanctuary for Alan and Abby whenever they want to escape the demanding and tiring city life.

Only an 1 ½ drive from the Metro, Tagaytay is the nearest place to enjoy cool breezy air, clear blue or starry skies and a provincial atmosphere of peace, quiet and slow paced life where you can experience being in a rural area, eat fresh and locally grown produce and support our local economy.

In attending their wedding, Alan and Abby would also want you to experience why they love Tagaytay – to take some time out to enjoy nature, smell the flowers, slow down, reconnect and give time to what is important in life – giving glory to God and spending time with family and friends.

Things to do and places of interest that the couple recommend:

They take quality to heart as they are ISO and HALAL certified. Savour their Bean-to-Cup and Farm-to-Fork products. Of course the couple highly recommends their coffee and salad dressings.

Alan and Abby were able to finalize and decide to have a go for the wedding only by December 2017, just three months before the wedding date! This in itself was a challenge but the suppliers they picked were more than up for it.

It took several months and hours surfing on the internet, reading reviews and comments, two bridal fairs in Tagaytay and several excel file documents to look for and compare suppliers for the wedding.

Finally, the couple was able to assemble a team of warm, passionate and hardworking suppliers they can trust and be comfortable with.

The couple’s suppliers are a combination of institutions in the industry with 4 decades of experience to a group of millenials making their own niche and proving their youth and energy deserves a spot in the events industry. What the couple loved the most are the local suppliers, those who came from Tagaytay and Cavite and established their own either as coming from being staffs and employed themselves and starting their own business or growing from their home based business. Alan being a businessman started his own business from scratch and Abby being the activist advocates for local entrepreneurship, thus partnering with local businesses especially those who started small has a special place in their hearts and in their wedding.

I Do In The Sky Bridal Fair

The I Do in The Sky The Bridal Fair was an exhausting experience! But it was worth it to meet, greet and personally talk with the various suppliers as you get to know their feel and vibes if it works for you as a couple. You can also get on the spot discounts and freebies which can help slash down the wedding’s budget.

Eye in D Sky

Eye in the Sky was established in May 2012 by Mr. & Mrs. Arnel   Atizado. Arnel is a multi award winning wedding photographer, a member of Wedding and Portrait Photographers of the Philippines (WPPP) and the Wedding and Portrait Photographers of CALABARZON  (WPPC).

What drew the couple to the team was the very reasonable package given the high end quality of their work. Their portfolio speaks of natural yet artistically captured shot which is very important for the couple who prefers the natural a candid shots and precious moments to be captured in an artist’s perspective.

In addition to this was the charm and commitment given by the company’s very own Mrs. Jenny Atizado that no less than the team of Arnel will be covering the event. Ms. Jenny has been a humble and quiet presence during the preparation meetings but delivers remarkably on the company’s commitment.

Moments & Milestones

The team’s vibrant energy and attention to details definitely captured the eye of the bride! She calls them her millennial team and that’s said with pride and love as the youth is very much close to the bride’s heart. Giving a chance and supporting the passion of the young people towards a productive and constructive career has a soft spot in her heart. Not to mention that the list that they gave and the details they discussed really got into her OC character. The opposite personalities of the founding sisters – the bubbly Faye and the tranquil Fionna – resonates in personalities of the bride and the groom.

Town’s Delight The Caterer

Our experience with Town’s Delight is nothing but delightful. From the food tasting to the assistance that Ms. Lourdes has given us from the first time we met. It’s not just the good food, but the quality of presentation, the styling, inclusions in their packages and the value for money that made us decide to make them a partner for our wedding. If you want to experience their food and service first hand, you can also opt to attend their food tastings which can be a romantic date for two or a family dining experience.

Makeup By Jamie Gregorio

The top booker in the 2nd I do in the Sky Bridal Fair! Of course it was because of the price for the package that she offered, but once you get to see the finished work of art which brings out the natural beauty in the person, you know that it was a really good deal of service.

Jamie is a mother of two lovely boys who were the reasons why she chose to leave a career in Manila and concentrate in being a freelance make-up artist. The career move for her family was blessed in return as Tagaytay became a destination for the booming wedding industry.

Dheb Couture

Every bride is excited about that wedding gown! It’s the center of the walk down the aisle and a must for the occasion. Again, this is where the bride becomes non-traditional. She originally opted to rent as in all practicality; she would only be wearing the dress once and keeping it the rest of her lifetime.

After scouting for a rental and not finding a fitting dress, she found an angel with Tita Dheb, the neighbourhood old fashioned modista who is willing to make her personalized wedding dress and make it into an after wedding usable formal dress within a very reasonable package rate that comes with the veil, cord, aras and she threw in a bridal robe as a gift as well. The bride can’t be happier with the arrangement and the quality and more so with the thought of supporting the local industry.

Balai Taal

Simply takes your breath away starting from the drive way, to the property’s view and the houses in the compound. One can just stay and spend the time away at Balai Taal. What drew us to the place was the feeling of intimacy that we definitely wanted for the wedding. The garden was naturally lush and well-kept. The property is well maintained by the very helpful Mang Nelson who has been in charge of the Concepcion magnates’ Tagaytay property since the ’70s.

Balai Taal is a 19 hectare property built within and around the forested slopes of the Tagaytay ridge. Masterplanned by Architect Francisco "Bobby" Mañosa, the low-density development has available lots that are oriented to have excellent views of the Taal Lake.

RM Audio Sounds and Lights

RM Audio is another husband and wife tandem. Alan and Abby met RM Audio during the second I Do in the Sky Bridal Fair in Tagaytay. With several lights and audio companies present as well as very competitive packages being offered, the couple’s decision was based on quality of work. RM Audio was given a thumbs up and a very good recommendation by the Moments and Milestones team, who happens to be the on-the-day coordinator of the couple.

Ryan Javier and wife Maylenne were very pleasant and accommodating with the package inclusions that they gave for the wedding. They were also very upfront and honest on what can and cannot be accommodated in the chosen package. Their experience in setting up in the couple’s wedding venue and that Ryan started off also as tech person and has since established his own business were a plus factor.
